Arizona recently passed a law allowing the carrying of concealed weapons without a permit. Why do I need one then?
Federal law mandates that even in Arizona, you cannot carry a concealed firearm within 1000 feet of a school unless you carry a CCW permit. This may mean that you may be ineligible from carrying concealed without a permit on the street you live or while driving home from work if your path takes you near a school.
With a CCW Permit you can purchase a firearm in Arizona without going through the background check process saving you time.
With a CCW permit you can carry a concealed firearm in dozens of states through reciprocity rules. Carrying without one in other states could end you up in trouble with the law.
With a CCW Permit you may enter an establishment that serves alcoholic beverages with a concealed firearm as long as the establishment does not prohibit concealed carry and you do not drink alcoholic beverages yourself.
Lastly, a CCW shows that you take the responsibility of carrying a firearm seriously. So serious, that you are willing to commit your time to go through the necessary training to carry out your duties appropriately.
Why take training with FPNP?
For our CCW course we use only the NRA Basic Pistol course. This course is taught to the stringent national standards of the NRA. It is not a rushed through version of the state course that you may get elsewhere.
Additionally, our instructors satisfy stringent standards. In addition to the NRA instructors course, our instructors are prior military combat veterans and law enforcement professionals with years of experience. However, with all those years of experience we pride ourselves on our caring for the shooting sports and enjoy teaching a wide variety of students from pre-teens to the elderly, men and women alike, the beginning novice with no firearms experience to the law enforcement professionals. We do so in a safe and caring manner that allows you to learn and experience all there is to get out of these classes.
